The domus de janas of Scala Coperta is a prehistoric hypogeum dug into trachytic rock, divided into four rooms arranged in the shape of a cross, with a central area as the access point.
Inside you can see signs of later restructuring, which in part adapted the original spaces for functions of various religious practices typical of the period of transition from the Neolithic to the Calcolithic periods in northern Sardinia.
